THE STAND-UP PADDLE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE ON!
The town of Les Sables d'Olonne is organizing the 10th edition of the International Surfing Association's Stand Up Paddle & Paddleboard World Championships, from September 24 to October 1, 2023. A first for France.
The streets of Les Sables d'Olonne were packed with thousands of people to welcome the parade for the 2023 ISA SUP and Paddleboard World Championships. The Parade of Nations kicked off the proceedings, featuring 200 athletes representing 30 national teams, including two-time title holders France.
Justine Dupont (France), gold medallist in SUP Surfing 2019, represented each of the assembled surfers by taking the oath of sports fair play alongside ISA judge Andreia Silva,
Among the dignitaries present were Vendée departmental council president Alain Lebœuf, Les Sables d'Olonne mayor Yannick Moreau, local organizing committee president Pascal Caduc, ISA vice-president Jean-Luc Arassus and ISA executive director Robert Fasulo.
